Welcome to expeRHEEnce, a Candle Bar™.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, participation in our candle-making expeRHEEnces, reservations, Private Pour Suites, private events, purchases, gift cards, and other services offered by expeRHEEnce, a Candle Bar LLC, which owns and operates expeRHEEnce, a Candle Bar® (“expeRHEEnce,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, making a reservation, purchasing a product, attending an experience, or otherwise engaging with expeRHEEnce, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not make a reservation, purchase a product, or participate in an experience.

2. Our Candle-Making expeRHEEnces

expeRHEEnce currently offers three distinct candle-making expeRHEEnces, each with its own booking, payment, capacity, and participation requirements.

2.1 Wax on Tap

Wax on Tap is our relaxed candle-bar expeRHEEnce, available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Walk-ins are always welcome, and reservations are encouraged to help secure your seat. Advance reservations may be made for 1–4 guests with a $10 non-refundable reservation payment per guest. The reservation payment is credited toward each guest's final Wax on Tap purchase and is not an additional fee.

Wax on Tap candle expeRHEEnces currently start at $38 per person, with final pricing determined by the vessel and any upgrades selected.

Guests select their vessel and blend up to three fragrances with guidance from an expeRHEEnce Scentologist. Once the custom fragrance has been created, the Scentologist assists with the candle-pouring process.

Wax on Tap guests pay for their selected vessel and additional purchases at the time of their expeRHEEnce. Guests may pay individually or together.

When guests arrive together, we will make reasonable efforts to seat the group together; however, seating together cannot be guaranteed during busy periods.

2.2 Private Pour Suites

Our Private Pour Suites provide a more intimate, guided candle-making expeRHEEnce and are available by appointment only Thursday through Saturday, with reservations available into the evening.

Current Private Pour Suites include:

Aura Suite: up to 4 guests
Chemistry Suite: 6–8 guests
Legacy Suite: 6–8 guests

Each Private Pour Suite is reserved exclusively for the confirmed party during its scheduled reservation.

Unlike Wax on Tap, Private Pour guests participate more directly in the candle-making process at their own pouring stations, with personalized guidance from an expeRHEEnce Scentologist.

Private Pour reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. The total reservation price is determined by the suite, party size, vessel selection and any applicable upgrades or enhancements.

Premium vessels, additional candles, food or beverage enhancements, customizations and other add-ons are charged separately unless specifically included in the reservation.

2.3 Book the Bar — Full Pour Experience

Book the Bar — Full Pour Experience is our private candle-making event designed for groups of 10–20 guests and provides exclusive use of the designated candle-bar event space during the contracted event period.

Book the Bar pricing starts at $75 per guest and includes:

A three-hour private candle-making event
A 16 oz candle vessel with wood wick for each paid guest
Guided fragrance blending and candle making
Three expeRHEEnce Scentologists assigned to the event
30 minutes immediately before the scheduled event for host/vendor setup
30 minutes immediately following the scheduled event for breakdown and removal of event-related items
The opportunity to select available enhancements and add-ons

Available enhancements may include the Champagne/Display Wall, gift or dessert displays, CharcuteRHEE™ Cart, and other offerings available at the time of booking.

Enhancements are priced separately unless expressly included in the written booking agreement.

3. Book the Bar — Payment, Guest Count & Service Charge

3.1 Reservation Payment

A 50% non-refundable payment is required at the time of booking to secure a Book the Bar reservation.

A date and time are not considered fully secured until the required payment has been successfully processed and the reservation has been confirmed by expeRHEEnce.

The reservation payment is applied toward the contracted event total and is not an additional fee.

3.2 Final Guaranteed Guest Count

The Event Host must provide the final guaranteed guest count no later than five (5) calendar days before the event.

The final guaranteed guest count determines the minimum number of guests for which the Event Host will be financially responsible.

If fewer guests ultimately attend, the event price will not be reduced below the final guaranteed headcount or applicable event minimum.

Requests to increase attendance after the final guest count has been submitted are subject to the 20-person maximum capacity, staffing, materials, space and expeRHEEnce approval.

3.3 Final Balance

The remaining event balance is due in full five (5) calendar days before the scheduled event.

The balance will be based upon the final guaranteed headcount, selected enhancements, applicable service charges and other contracted charges.

Failure to submit the required final balance by the deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of amounts previously paid.

3.4 Scentologist Service Charge

A 20% service charge is automatically applied to all Book the Bar — Full Pour Experience events.

The service charge is designated for the Scentologists working the event and will be disclosed as part of the event pricing.

4. Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Transfers

4.1 Non-Refundable Reservations and Payments

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing by expeRHEEnce, reservation payments, deposits and booking payments are non-refundable.

Because reservations may require expeRHEEnce to reserve exclusive space, block appointment availability, schedule staff, purchase or prepare materials and decline other bookings, cancellations do not automatically entitle the guest or Event Host to a refund.

4.2 One-Time Transfer or Reschedule

We understand that circumstances may change.

At the discretion of expeRHEEnce, an eligible reservation may be transferred or rescheduled one time, provided sufficient advance notice is given.

Eligibility will be determined based upon the type of reservation, amount of notice provided, availability of the requested replacement date, staffing, materials already ordered or prepared, customizations, event size and the circumstances surrounding the requested change.

Transfers and rescheduling are not guaranteed and require approval by expeRHEEnce.

Any approved transfer must be used for a date mutually agreed upon by the guest and expeRHEEnce and may be subject to then-current pricing, availability or additional charges if the scope of the reservation changes.

Payments associated with customized, perishable, specially ordered or already-prepared items may not be transferable.

4.3 No-Shows

No-shows are not eligible for refunds, credits or reimbursement.

For Private Pour and Book the Bar reservations, the booking party remains financially responsible for the applicable confirmed reservation amount regardless of actual attendance.

4.4 Late Arrivals

Guests are encouraged to arrive approximately 15 minutes before their scheduled reservation for check-in and preparation.

Our candle-making expeRHEEnces operate on scheduled timelines. Late arrival may result in a shortened expeRHEEnce, and significantly late guests may not be accommodated.

Late arrival does not qualify a reservation for a refund, credit, reduction in price or automatic extension of the scheduled reservation.

For Book the Bar events, the contracted event end time remains unchanged regardless of the time the host or guests actually arrive.

5. Book the Bar — Event Time, Setup & Overtime

Book the Bar includes three (3) hours of private event time.

The Event Host and approved vendors may access the designated event area up to 30 minutes before the scheduled event start time for setup.

An additional 30 minutes immediately following the scheduled event end time is provided for breakdown and removal of food, décor, personal belongings and vendor items.

The setup and breakdown periods are provided solely for those purposes and do not extend the three-hour guest event period.

Events must conclude at the contracted end time.

Any extension must be approved by expeRHEEnce and is subject to availability.

Overtime is billed at $100 per 30-minute increment or any portion thereof.

Overtime charges may also apply when the Event Host, guests or vendors remain in the facility beyond the allotted breakdown period.

6. Food & Beverage Policies

6.1 Wax on Tap

Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the Wax on Tap candle-making area.

Food aromas may interfere with fragrance blending, and outside beverages near active pouring stations may create safety concerns.

Wax on Tap guests may enjoy complimentary Mimosas for guests age 21+ and signature hot or iced RHEEfreshers™ Teas, subject to availability.

6.2 Private Pour Suites

Private Pour guests may bring beer, wine or champagne for guests age 21 or older. Hard liquor is not permitted.

A $15 Private Pour Beverage Service applies per reservation.

Guests are responsible for consuming alcohol responsibly. expeRHEEnce reserves the right to discontinue alcohol consumption when reasonably necessary for guest, staff or property safety.

Complimentary Mimosas for guests age 21+ and hot or iced RHEEfreshers™ Teas may also be available.

Light refreshments may be permitted within Private Pour Suites in accordance with studio guidelines.

6.3 Book the Bar

Outside food is permitted for Book the Bar events; however, food service, staging and setup must take place in the designated upstairs area unless otherwise approved by expeRHEEnce.

Food and beverages must not interfere with active candle-making stations or create an unsafe condition.

The Event Host is responsible for ensuring that food, décor, personal belongings and outside vendor materials are removed within the allotted breakdown period.

Outside caterers, food providers and vendors are solely responsible for their products, services and compliance with applicable requirements. expeRHEEnce does not assume responsibility for food preparation, food safety or allergens associated with food supplied by outside parties.

Alcohol may only be consumed in accordance with expeRHEEnce policies and applicable law. Guests consuming alcohol must be at least 21 years old.

7. Book the Bar Enhancements & Outside Vendors

Available enhancements may include the Champagne/Display Wall, gift displays, dessert displays, CharcuteRHEE™ Cart and other offerings made available by expeRHEEnce.

Enhancements are subject to availability and additional charges unless expressly included in the contracted event package.

Some enhancements may require advance ordering, customization or third-party preparation. Once such items have been ordered, customized or prepared, associated charges are non-refundable.

Any outside vendor participating in an event must comply with expeRHEEnce policies and may not interfere with candle-making operations, staff, other areas of the facility or safety requirements.

8. Age Requirements & Minors

Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate in candle making unless participating in an expeRHEEnce specifically designed and approved by us for younger participants.

Guests under 18 must have authorization from a parent or legal guardian and comply with any required waiver procedures.

Because our expeRHEEnces involve hot wax, fragrance oils, heated equipment and candle-making materials, children under 10 are not permitted within active candle-pouring areas except during an approved youth program or event with appropriate accommodations.

Youth groups may be subject to separate capacity, supervision and event requirements.

9. Assumption of Risk

Candle making involves materials and equipment that may include hot wax, heated vessels, fragrance oils, wicks, electrical equipment and finished candles involving an open flame.

By participating, guests acknowledge and voluntarily accept the ordinary risks associated with candle making, including possible burns, spills, skin sensitivities, fragrance sensitivities, allergic reactions and incidental contact with candle-making materials.

Guests are required to follow all instructions provided by expeRHEEnce Scentologists and staff.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, guests agree to release and hold harmless expeRHEEnce, its owners, employees, contractors, Scentologists and agents from claims arising from the ordinary risks of participation, except where prohibited by law or resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. Candle Cooling, Pickup & Storage

Custom candles require adequate time to cool and solidify before they can safely leave the studio.

Please allow approximately three hours after completion of the candle-making process for cooling and finishing.

Candles are not guaranteed for same-day take-home. This is especially important for later Private Pour and Book the Bar reservations.

Once properly cooled and set, candles will be packaged and available for pickup during expeRHEEnce's regular business hours.

Book the Bar Group Pickup

For Book the Bar events, the Event Host may choose either:

Individual Pickup: Each guest is responsible for retrieving their own candle; or
Host Pickup: The Event Host retrieves the group's completed candles and assumes responsibility for distributing them.
Regardless of the selected arrangement, all candles must be picked up within seven (7) calendar days of the event unless alternate arrangements have been approved by expeRHEEnce in advance.
The Event Host is responsible for communicating the selected pickup arrangement and deadline to event guests.
Candles remaining beyond the seven-day pickup period without an approved arrangement may be considered abandoned and may be donated, repurposed or otherwise disposed of at our discretion. expeRHEEnce cannot guarantee continued storage, condition or replacement of candles that are not retrieved within the required timeframe.
Shipping may be available for an additional fee.
For optimal fragrance performance and burn quality, we recommend allowing candles to fully cure for 7–10 days before lighting.

11. Candle Vessels & RHEEpurpose™

For safety and quality assurance, guests may only pour into vessels provided or specifically approved by expeRHEEnce. Outside vessels are not accepted for candle pouring.

Returning guests may participate in our RHEEpurpose™ Program by bringing back an eligible, clean, previously purchased expeRHEEnce vessel.

Returned vessels are subject to inspection for cracks, chips, heat damage or other conditions that may affect candle safety. We reserve the right to decline any vessel determined unsuitable for reuse.

Eligible RHEEpurpose™ participants currently receive 15% off their next qualifying pour. Program benefits and eligibility are subject to change.

12. Custom Candles & Returns

Because candles created during our candle-making expeRHEEnces are customized by each guest—including fragrance selection and vessel choice—custom candles are final sale and generally cannot be returned or exchanged.

If you believe there is a quality or workmanship issue with your candle, please contact us so we may review the concern and determine an appropriate resolution.

13. Damaged Shipped Products

If an item arrives damaged, contact info@experheence.com within 48 hours of delivery and provide your order information and photographs of the damaged product, shipping packaging and any visible shipping damage.

After review, eligible products may be replaced or re-poured at our discretion.

14. Online Orders & Retail Products

All prices are stated in U.S. dollars and are subject to change.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, limit quantities, discontinue products, refuse suspected fraudulent transactions or cancel orders when a product is unavailable.

Product photographs, colors, vessels, fragrance descriptions and other representations are provided for reference. Because many products are handcrafted, slight variations may occur.

15. Shipping

Available shipping options, charges and estimated delivery times will be displayed during checkout or communicated when shipping is arranged.

Processing times are separate from carrier delivery estimates.

expeRHEEnce is not responsible for carrier delays, weather disruptions, incorrect addresses supplied by customers or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

16. Fragrance Sensitivities & Allergies

Fragrances and candle-making ingredients may cause sensitivities or allergic reactions in some individuals.

Guests with known fragrance sensitivities, allergies, respiratory concerns, skin sensitivities or other relevant conditions should review available ingredient information and determine whether participation or product use is appropriate for them.

Please inform your Scentologist of known sensitivities before participating.

17. Candle Care & Safety

Guests are responsible for following Candle Care instructions provided with their candle.

Among other precautions:

Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before use.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts and flammable materials.
Place candles on stable, heat-resistant surfaces.
Do not move a candle while the wax is liquid.
Do not burn a candle for more than approximately four hours at one time.
Allow the vessel to cool completely before handling.
Discontinue burning when approximately ½ inch of wax remains.

Improper candle use may result in fire, burns, property damage, vessel failure or other hazards.

18. Gift Cards

expeRHEEnce may offer digital and physical gift cards.

Unless otherwise stated, gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law, are not refundable after purchase, and may not be used to purchase additional gift cards.

Lost, stolen or unauthorized gift cards may not be replaceable.

Any expiration or dormancy terms will comply with applicable law.

19. Wholesale, Private Label & Corporate Gifting

expeRHEEnce may offer wholesale, private-label, branded candle, bulk-order, event-favor and corporate gifting services.

Custom projects may be subject to separate minimum order quantities, pricing, production timelines, deposits, artwork approval, fragrance development, shipping charges, cancellation policies and written agreements.

Custom, branded, wholesale and private-label orders are generally final sale unless otherwise stated in the applicable agreement.

20. Payments

expeRHEEnce is a cashless establishment.

We accept approved electronic payment methods, including major credit and debit cards and available mobile-payment services.

Payment methods will be charged according to the terms presented at purchase or reservation.

Applicable taxes, service charges and other authorized charges will be added where required or disclosed.

21. Photography & Social Media

Because expeRHEEnce is an experiential and social environment, photography and video may occasionally occur within the studio.

We will seek appropriate permission before intentionally using an identifiable guest's image for advertising or promotional purposes where consent is required.

Guests taking photographs or video must respect the privacy and expeRHEEnce of others and may not interfere with candle-making activities or staff operations.

22. Guest & Event Conduct

We want expeRHEEnce to remain a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment.

Guests may not engage in behavior that is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, unsafe, disruptive, destructive, unlawful, excessively intoxicated, interfering with another guest's expeRHEEnce or contrary to staff safety instructions.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service or, when reasonably necessary, terminate an event to protect guests, staff, property or operations.

Termination due to the conduct of the Event Host, a guest or an associated vendor does not entitle the booking party to a refund.

For group and Book the Bar events, the individual making the reservation is considered the Event Host and primary contact.

The Event Host is responsible for communicating applicable policies to their party and for the conduct of their guests and vendors.

The Event Host may be held financially responsible for damage, loss, excessive cleaning or other costs caused by their guests or associated vendors, to the extent permitted by law.

23. Weather, Emergencies & Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Reservations will generally proceed during anticipated or forecasted weather conditions unless expeRHEEnce determines that operations cannot safely continue.

If expeRHEEnce must cancel or close because of severe weather, utility failure, building emergency, government order, public-safety concern or another circumstance outside our reasonable control, affected reservations may be offered rescheduling, transfer or an applicable studio credit, depending upon the circumstances.

Where an event includes customized, perishable, third-party or specially ordered items that cannot reasonably be recovered or reused, those charges may be excluded from any credit or transfer to the extent permitted by law.

This provision is separate from a guest-initiated cancellation.

24. Damage to Property & Personal Belongings

Guests and Event Hosts are responsible for using our property, equipment, furniture and candle-making materials appropriately.

To the extent permitted by law, the responsible guest or Event Host may be charged for damage beyond ordinary wear and tear caused by the guest, their party or their associated vendors.

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. expeRHEEnce is not responsible for lost, stolen, forgotten or unattended personal property except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

25. Intellectual Property

The expeRHEEnce name, logos, graphics, photographs, website content, written materials, proprietary program names, branding, product names, designs and other original content are owned by or licensed to expeRHEEnce and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No protected content may be reproduced, distributed, sold, modified or commercially used without prior written permission.

26. Website Use

You agree not to use our website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes; attempt unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with website operation or security; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or copy or commercially exploit protected content without authorization.

We may restrict access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

27. Website & Service Disclaimer

Our website, online content, services and product information are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that website information will always be error-free, uninterrupted, complete or current.

Vessel styles, fragrances, pricing, promotions, studio availability, menus, enhancements and other offerings may change without notice.

28. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, expeRHEEnce and its owners, employees, contractors and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use of our website, products or services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

29. Privacy

Use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Information submitted through reservations, online purchases, contact forms, event inquiries and other interactions will be handled in accordance with that policy and applicable law.

30. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal proceedings permitted under these Terms shall be brought in an appropriate jurisdiction serving Chicago/Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

31. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, policies or legal obligations.

When material changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated.

Continued use of our website or services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

32. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

33. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable reservation agreement, Book the Bar agreement, private-event agreement, waiver, wholesale agreement or other supplemental agreement, constitute the agreement between the guest or Event Host and expeRHEEnce regarding the applicable services.

For a Book the Bar event, private event, custom order or other specially contracted service, the specific written booking agreement will control if it expressly conflicts with these general Terms.
