How long does the an expeRHEEnce take?

Your candle-making journey typically lasts 45–60 minutes, depending on how quickly you settle on your scent selections.

After pouring, your candle needs time to set—curing takes approximately 75 to 150 minutes, depending on the vessel size and style.

Can we bring our candles home once they are made?

After you pour your candle, please allow about 3 hours before pickup:

2 hours for your candle to cool and solidify
1 hour for our team to apply finishing touches and package it for you

We hold candles for up to 2 weeks after pouring. After that, unclaimed items will be donated.

Want it shipped instead? We offer $12 flat-rate shipping per candle—just let us know at checkout.

What is the cost?

Candle-pouring experiences start at $55 per person, depending on the vessel you select.
Each item—whether a candle or reed diffuser—is priced individually and charged at the time of your pour.

Can I bring my own jar?

To maintain quality and safety standards, we only pour into vessels provided by expeRHEEnce, a Candle Bar ®.

We offer a beautiful selection of curated vessels in various sizes, shapes, and colors.

Returning guests can take advantage of our RHEEpurpose Program—bring back your previously purchased expeRHEEnce vessel and receive 15% off your next pour!

When can I pour a candle?

Our studio hours are:

Wednesday - Thursday: 1 PM – 7 PM
Friday–Saturday: 11 AM – 8 PM
Sunday: By Appointment Only
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays

To take your candle home the same day, we recommend arriving at least 2 hours before closing.

Do I need a reservation?

Wax on Tap sessions are walk-in friendly and based on availability
Private Pour experiences require a reservation for one of our private suites
For groups or weekend visits, we highly recommend booking in advance to guarantee space.

How many guests can you accommodate?

We can host up to 40 guests across the entire building:

First Floor (Public Space): Up to 20 guests

Private Pour Suites:

Intimate Pour Room: 2–6 guests
Glow Lounge: 2–6 guests
Signature Studio: Up to 8 guests

A credit card hold is required for group bookings

A $10 per person fee will apply for no-shows or late cancellations without 48-hour notice

Is expeRHEEnce BYOB?

Yes! Guests are welcome to bring beer, wine, or champagne (no hard liquor).

We provide:

Chiller
Plastic cups
Bottle opener

A $5 per guest corkage fee applies for outside beverages (not included in the experience price).

Non-alcoholic drinks are available in-studio for $1 each + tax.

Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol. We allow 1 bottle or 6-pack per 2 guests max.

What is the age requirement?

Guests must be 10 years or older to participate.

Minors under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.

Due to the use of hot wax and fragrance oils, children under 10 are not permitted in the pouring areas.

Do you sell gift cards?

Absolutely! We offer both digital e-gift cards and in-store physical gift cards:

E-Gift Cards are delivered instantly by email and include easy redemption instructions.
In-store gift cards can be purchased at our studio and make great last-minute gifts.

ABOUT OUR CANDLES

Are your candles really 100% coconut soy?

Yes! At expeRHEEnce, a Candle Bar ®, all of our candles are made from 100% coconut-soy wax—a natural blend that contains no paraffin, additives, or toxins. Our wax is non-GMO and derived from renewable, biodegradable resources.

What are the benefits of coconut soy wax?

Coconut soy wax is known for its clean burn and sustainability. Here’s why we love it:

Non-toxic, biodegradable, and renewable
Low soot production—up to 90% less than paraffin
Cleaner air, less indoor residue on walls and furniture
Natural and body-safe—perfect for skin contact when used properly

Unlike paraffin, which is petroleum-based and emits CO₂, our wax burns cleaner and is better for you and the environment.

What types of oils are used in your candles?

Our fragrance blends feature high-quality essential oils and premium-grade fragrance oils. We use a mix to provide a full-bodied scent throw without compromising safety.

Do you use essential oils in your candles?

We do! Many of our fragrance blends are composed of 40–80% essential oil components. However, we don’t use straight essential oils, as they tend to burn off too quickly due to their low flashpoints. Our curated blend ensures a stronger, longer-lasting scent experience.

Are your fragrances phthalate-free? What’s a phthalate?

Yes—all of our fragrances are 100% phthalate-free.

Phthalates are commonly used in cosmetics and fragrances to help dissolve raw materials, but concerns have been raised about their health impact—especially in children. While still legal in candles, we’ve chosen to keep our ingredients clean and simple by avoiding phthalates altogether.

Are your candles safe to use as a moisturizer?

Yes! Our cosmetic-grade coconut soy wax is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, offering skin-softening benefits. Combined with our body-safe fragrance blends, the melted wax can be safely massaged into the skin as a warm moisturizer. Just be sure to check for personal sensitivities first.

Are there any color additives in your candles?

Nope. We keep it pure and natural. Our candles are free of dyes and artificial colorants, allowing the natural creamy hue of the wax to shine through. This also ensures it remains safe for body use.

Can the jar be reused or repurposed?

Absolutely! We’re big on sustainability. Once your candle burns down to ¼ inch of wax, here’s how to clean and reuse your vessel:

Freezer Method: Place the jar in the freezer. Once the wax hardens, gently pop it out along with the wick tab.
Oven Method: Place your vessel on a baking sheet in a warm oven to melt and pour out the remaining wax. Wipe clean carefully.
Wash with warm, soapy water—and voilà!

Can I send a candle or product as a gift?
Absolutely! During checkout, you can let us know if your order is a gift. We’ll leave out the receipt and are happy to include a hand-typed gift note for that personal touch. Just include your message in the order notes section.
