Where appropriate, we may request consent before intentionally using an identifiable guest's image, testimonial, or likeness for marketing, advertising, social media, or promotional purposes.

For organized events, separate photography or media notices, releases, or event agreements may apply. We encourage guests to respect the privacy of others when photographing or recording inside our studio.

13. Information About Children

Our website and online services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without appropriate parental involvement or consent.

Although certain in-person candle-making experiences may be available to qualifying minors under our studio policies, reservations, payments, waivers, and online submissions for minors should be completed by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult where required.

If we learn that we have knowingly collected personal information online from a child under 13 in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

COPPA applies to websites or online services directed to children under 13 and to general-audience services that have actual knowledge they are collecting personal information from a child under 13.

Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us may contact us at info@experheence.com.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against:

  • Unauthorized access

  • Loss

  • Theft

  • Misuse

  • Improper disclosure

  • Alteration

  • Destruction

Access to personal information is limited to personnel and service providers who reasonably require access for legitimate business purposes.

However, no website, electronic transmission, payment system, database, or storage platform can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot promise absolute security.

Illinois law requires businesses handling Illinois residents' personal information to maintain reasonable security measures designed to protect those records from unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.

15. Data Breach Notification

If we determine that personal information has been affected by a security breach requiring notification under applicable law, we will provide required notices in accordance with applicable federal and state requirements.

For Illinois residents, the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act generally requires required breach notifications to affected residents to be made in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, subject to statutory conditions.

You may contact us to:

  • Update incorrect contact information

  • Change marketing preferences

  • Unsubscribe from promotional email

  • Opt out of promotional text messages

  • Ask questions about information associated with your account

  • Request closure of an online account, where applicable

Not every request can be fulfilled in every circumstance. For example, we may need to retain transaction records to satisfy tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, contractual, or other legal obligations.

18. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

At this time, expeRHEEnce does not sell personal information in exchange for money.

Certain advertising and analytics technologies may be legally characterized as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or similar activity under privacy laws applicable in some jurisdictions.

If our practices change or applicable law requires additional consumer controls, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required opt-out mechanisms.

19. Third-Party Websites & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including social media platforms, payment providers, event tools, maps, shipping providers, or other services.

Once you leave our website or interact directly with a third party, that party's own privacy policy and terms govern its collection and use of information.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independently operated third-party websites.

  • Names

  • Gift card value

  • Transaction information

Please provide another person's information only when you are authorized to do so.

The event organizer is responsible for ensuring that it has appropriate authority to provide such information to us.

We use that information only as reasonably necessary to administer the applicable event, experience, payment, communication, or related services unless additional consent is obtained.

22. Custom Branding, Wholesale & Private Label

We may use this information to:

  • Evaluate the project

  • Prepare estimates and proposals

  • Develop custom products

  • Review branding or artwork

  • Communicate about quantities and timelines

  • Process deposits and payments

  • Coordinate fulfillment and shipping

  • Maintain project records

Submission of an inquiry does not transfer ownership of your trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials to expeRHEEnce.

Additional confidentiality or intellectual-property provisions may apply through a separate written agreement.

23. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Our business will continue to grow, and our privacy practices may evolve with it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • New experiences or services

  • Changes to our website

  • New technology

  • New service providers

  • Changes in legal requirements

  • Changes in the way we collect or use information

When we make material updates, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page and provide any additional notice required by law.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

24. Your Consent

By using our website and voluntarily submitting information to us, you acknowledge the information practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Consent to this Privacy Policy does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive promotional email or promotional text messages where separate consent is required.

That distinction is important and is one place where I would improve substantially over the older privacy-policy language.
